The funicular up to Mtatsminda Park starts a short walk uphill from the avenue.

Rustaveli Avenue is the grand main street of Tbilisi, lined with the Georgian National Museum, the Rustaveli Theatre, the opera house, Parliament and Kashveti Church. Rustaveli station (Line 1) opens directly onto the avenue, making it the most useful stop for the city centre.
